New Shoes for our Field Staff - Mèsi, Keen!
Everyday our monitrices walk through the arid mountains, up and down rocky hillsides, and across rivers and streams to reach mothers and children in remote areas. Our friends at KEEN donated 100 pairs of high-quality hiking sandals so that our monitrices and field staff can move through their zones safely and comfortably.
Keeping up with Baby Mila
Remember Baby Mila? We regularly check in on her and other especially vulnerable children that have been through our program, and we’re working with her family to help them overcome challenges that threaten her well-being.
The Fellows Are Back!
Lauren Marlar and Hayley Fallon, Kore Timoun’s 2019 Fellows, returned stateside on February 26th due to the civil unrest in Haiti. On April 10th, they returned to Leogane. Hayley recounts their arrival, highlights from their first week back, and the transition back to life with Kore Timoun.

In the Field with Dr. Anany
In Haiti 1.3 million children (12% of the general population) are under 5 years old. The likelihood that these children will die before they reach their fifth birthday is amongst the highest in the Western Hemisphere. However, CNP/Kore Timoun is literally alone in saving malnourished children in the region of Leogane.
