Children in Haiti are suffering from acute malnutrition, but you can make an immediate impact.

Children with acute malnutrition endure muscle loss, lack micro-nutrients which give energy, and are more likely to be affected by common illness. Malnutrition can lead to severe cognitive and physical disabilities, and children need immediate treatment to avoid long-term effects.

The children of Haiti need immediate treatment to counteract the long-term effects of malnutrition.

Our Solution

Rehabilitation begins with Plumpy Nut Bars.

Plumpy Nut Bars are nutrient-rich bars made from peanuts, powdered milk, sugar, vegetable oils, and a mixture of vitamins and minerals. They support rapid weight gain through broad nutrient intake to begin the process of full rehabilitation for a child.

A 6-week therapeutic program—restoring wellness to save lives.

Healthy children, healthy communities.

Our community health workers, known as Monitrices, work with families in Haiti to teach principles of proper nutrition, disease prevention, and sanitation. Each Monitrice monitors cases of malnutrition, and leads women’s groups and health committees, providing resources which enable women to care for their families.

Our Long-Term Solution

For $125 a month, sponsor a Monitrice to serve an entire community for a year.
