WATER, SANITATION & Hygiene EDUCATION

wHAT CNP/KORE TIMOUN IS DOING

One of the subjects taught by CNP/Kore Timoun monitrices to their communities is the importance of good WASH practices. Poor sanitation, water, and hygiene have very serious health and economic repercussions and can be the root cause of malnutrition and death. Educating communities about these issues reduces the amount of illness and death caused by disease, which in turn leads to improved health and socio-economic development. Simple measures such as washing hands, treating drinking water and using latrines prevents many children from getting sick and importantly saves many lives.
