health committees

CNP/Kore Timoun monitrices facilitate Health Committee in their communities that meet on a monthly basis.  During Health Committee meetings monitrices educate their communities on a wide range of health and nutrition topics, including sanitation and hygiene, family planning, vaccines and nutrition. Health Committees are also designed to provide the community with the opportunity to discuss issues affecting their collective health and well-being, and a platform from which they can collaboratively devise solutions to these problems. Whenever outside help is needed to realize these solutions, CNP/Kore Timoun assists by sourcing outside organizations with expertise, and grants to fund these projects. CNP/Kore Timoun then works to bring communities and partners together, and provides project management support to ensure projects are realized efficiently and effectively.

There are currently 45 active Health Committees in the areas where CNP's monitrices work.
