WHAT IS Community Empowerment AND CNP'S ROLE

Community empowerment is the process of enabling communities to increase control over their lives. This is more than simply the involvement or participation of a community; it relates to communities taking ownership and a stake in which residents have the skills, the will, and the resources to act to regulate the quality of the life within their community. A local village or neighborhood is empowered when its people actively participate in all aspects of decision making, beginning with deciding which course of action should be taken, all the way through to evaluating the outcome of their efforts.
